ODESSA, TEXAS/OCTOBER 6, 2019-THE ODESSA POLICE DEPARTMENT’S POLICE ACADEMY SESSION 19 HELD THE DRIVING PORTION OF THEIR TRAINING. THE RECURITS TRAIN IN MANUVERING TECNIQUES IN A PURSUIT SITUATION , AS WELL AS RUNNING THROUGH SIMULATIONS THAT OFFICERS WILL ENCOUNTER WHILE PATROLING THE STREETS. BY REMOVING CONCERNS FROM THE RECRUITS’ THINKING IT INCREASES THE SUCCESS RATE OF THE DRIVING TRAINING. ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24TH, 2019 AT 7:36 AM A REPORT OF A SUBJECT BEING SHOT AT, AT 866 AND 1-20 NO INJURIES. ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24TH, 2019 A REPORT OF A GUNSHOT VICTIM AT PILOT CLUB CONVENIENCE STORE AT I-20 AND METEOR CRATER RD. THIS SUBJECT WAS SHOT IN THE ABDOMEN, WHILE HE WAS IN HIS VEHICLE PARKED ALONGSIDE THE ROAD.
