ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 28, 2019 AT APPROXIMATELY 7:09 PM, ODESSA POLICE RESPONDED TO SUBWAY LOCATED AT 4812 EAST UNIVERSITY IN REFERENCE TO A ROBBERY. AN UKNOWN MALE SUBJECT ENTERED THE BUSINESS AND DISPLAYED A GUN WHILE DEMANDING ALL OF THE CASH FROM THE REGISTER. THE SUBJECT THEN FLED THE SCENE WITH AN UNDISCLOSED AMOUNT OF CASH. THERE WERE NO REPORTS OF ANY INJURIES. ANYONE WHO RECOGNIZES THE SUBJECT SHOWN, CONTACT DETECTIVE S. MIDLAND COUNTY/MIDLAND, TEXAS/JANUARY 1, 2020-ON DECEMBER 30TH, 2019 AT APPROXIMATELY 4:00PM, MIDLAND COUNTY DEPUTIES WITH THE MIDLAND COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE RECEIVED INFORMATION THAT ROBERT DUNCAN, WHO WAS REPORTED MISSING, COULD POSSIBLY BE IN THE AREA OF COUNTY ROAD 1230 AND COUNTY ROAD 120 IN MIDLAND COUNTY. DEPUTIES ALONG WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, MIDLAND POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE BEGAN A SEARCH. ON DECEMBER 31ST, 2019- AT APPROXIMATELY 3:30PM, THE INVESTIGATION LED THE SEARCH TEAM TO THE DECEASED BODY OF THE MISSING PERSON. DURING THE INVESTIGATION, 3 SEARCH WARRANTS WERE OBTAINED AND EXECUTED IN CONNECTION WITH THE HOMICIDE. THE FOLLOWING SUSPECTS WERE ARRESTED AND CHARGED IN CONNECTION TO THE HOMICIDE: TERRY WEST, 17 YEARS OF AGE-CAPITAL MURDER ZYDEN HAYES, 18 YEARS OF AGE-CAPITAL MURDER ROGELIO CADENA, 18 YEARS OF AGE-MURDER ROGELIO VASQUEZ, 18 YEARS OF AGE-TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE JOHN HAYES, 17 YEARS OF AGE-INTERFERING WITH PUBLIC DUTIES ON JANUARY 1, 2020, MIDLAND POLICE CHIEF HERMAN RELEASED A STATEMENT REGARDING THE ROBERT DUNCAN INVESTIGATION. Statement from Chief Herman: “Once the Midland Police Department took the report on Sunday, December 29, 2019, an investigation was immediately initiated. MPD officers conducted follow up by contacting associates and searching locations throughout the city and county – exhausting all efforts until one of the associates contacted the Midland County Sheriff’s Office the following day to admit that he gave false information to our Sergeant. During that time the associate provided a location that was in the county. At that time the investigation was turned over to the MCSO and we continued to assist the MCSO in the search. MIDLAND/ODESSA, TEXAS/DECEMBER 27,2019-ON DECEMBER 26TH AT APPROXIMATELY 11:04AM, THE MIDLAND POLICE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED TO 912 NORTH MIDKIFF IN REFERENCE TO A BANK ROBBERY. AN UNKNOWN MALE SUBJECT PRESENTED A NOTE TO A BANK TELLER AND FLED THE SCENE WITH AN UNDISCLOSED AMOUNT OF CASH. AT APPROXIMATELY 2:52PM, ODESSA POLICE RESPONDED TO 801 NORTH TEXAS IN REFERENCE TO A BANK ROBBERY. THE INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE SAME SUSPECT PRESENTED A NOTE TO A BANK TELLER AND FLED THE SCENE WITH AN UNDISCLOSDED AMOUNT OF CASH. THERE WERE NO REPORTS OF ANY INJURIES DURING BOTH ROBBERIES. AT APPROXIMATELY 5:48PM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY LOCATED THE SUSPECT IDENTIFIED AS WYATT WILL HAMBRICK, 21 YEARS OF AGE AT A REST STOP IN MIDLAND. HAMBRICK WAS CHARGED AND ARRESTED IN CONNECTION TO TWO BANK ROBBERIES IN MIDLAND AND ODESSA.
