DRB MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL NEWS(060421)-OPD MAKE ARREST IN CONNECTION TO INTOXICATION ASSAULT

Odessa, Texas/June 4, 2021-Odessa Police have made an arrest in connection to a 4-vehicle crash that occurred Thursday night at approximately 7:55pm, June 3rd in North Odessa. Rogelio Lujan, 38 years of age, has been charged with Intoxication Assault “3rd Degree Felony”. Odessa Police and Odessa Fire Rescue responded to Andrews Highway and Yukon in reference to the major crash.

Investigation revealed that a green Chevrolet Suburban, being operated by Savannah Thatford, 18 years of age, was stopped facing westbound in the 100 block of East Yukon. A white Ford Ecoline van, being operated by Zeuz Reyes, 26 years of age, as stopped behind the Suburban. A black Harley Davidson motorcycle, being operated by Isaac Sanchez, 32 years of age, was stopped behind the van.

Investigation revealed that a gray Dodge Ram, operated by Rogelio Lujan, was traveling westbound in the 100 block of East Yukon and failed to control speed before striking the motorcycle and van. The impact caused all four vehicles to collide.

Zeuz Reyes was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Lujan was transported to a local hospital with serious bodily injury. There were no reports of any other injuries. Investigation revealed that Lujan was intoxicated. Lujan was charged and arrested and transported to the ECLEC.

PRIOR TO GRADUATION, RIDERS MUST ATTENDED THE 40 HOUR ACREDITED COURSE THAT CONSISTS OF RIDING, AND ON THE GROUND TRAINING, WORKING WITH THE HORSE ON MOVEMENTS AND OPERATIONS.
