“ONCE EVERYBODY COMPLETES THE CLASSROOM PART, THEY COME OUT AND DO THE DRIVING SIMULATOR; TRYING TO EDUCATE PEOPLE ON DRIVING SAFETY AND TRY TO EMPLOY SAFE DRIVING PRACTICES FOR EVERYBODY IN THE COUNTY.”

“IT’S A PASS OR FAIL TYPE THING, AND ACTUALLY ANYONE THAT PARTICIPATES IN THE CLASS CAN GET A DISCOUNT THROUGH THEIR INSURANCE COMPANY WITH THEIR LIABILITY INSURANCE.”

ECTOR COUNTY IS A MEMBER OF THE TEXAS ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES AND THIS ASSCOIATION IS HELPING THE COUNTY SAVE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS BY REDUCING ACCIDENTS AND ACCIDENTS CLAIMS.

“THIS DRIVER SIMULATOR CLASS IS A PART OF TAC OR THE TEXAS ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES, THEY WORK VERY HARD TRYING TO HELP THEIR MEMBER COUNTIES SAVE MONEY AND BE SAFE.”

THIS STATE OF THE ART DRIVER SIMULATOR HAS OVER 200 SENERIOS, AS WELL AS CUSTOM DESIGN SENERIOS THAT CAN MATCH A TEXAS COUNTY AREA, ROAD CONDITIONS, AND HIGH STRESS DRIVING SITURATIONS.

(DON COURTNEY, TEXAS ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES)

“MUCH MORE REALISTIC. WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE FLAT SCREENS AND THE LCD TYPE SCREENS, AS WELL AS THE CAMERA TECHNOLOGY. I CAN REPLAY. I COULD REPLAY BEFORE, BUT NOW I CAN REPLAY AND HAVE A CAMERA WITH IT. SO, THAT THEY CAN SEE THEMSELVES LOOKING SIDE WAYS, LOOKING IN THE REAR VIEW MIRROR, LOOKING AT INTERSECTION OR WHATEVER THE CASE MAY BE. THE SOUND IS MUCH BETTER, AND QUALITY OF PICTURE.”

OFFICERS LIKE THE NEW UPGRADED DRIVER SIMULATOR, BECAUSE OF THE ADDITONAL SITUATIONS THAT ARE INCLUDED TO THE SENERIO PACKAGES, THAT THEY COULD ENCOUNTER WHILE ON PATROL.

(DON COURTNEY, TEXAS ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES)

THE TEXAS ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES HAVE INVESTED APPROXIMATELY $105,000 IN THE UPGRADED VERSION OF THE LAW ENFORCEMENT SIMULATOR, AND $114,000 ON THE ROAD AND BRIDGE SIMULATOR TO HELP MEMBER COUNTIES WITH STATE OF THE ART TRAINING AND TO BE PRO ACTIVE IN MANAGING COUNTY EXPENSES ON COUNTY VEHICLES.
