DRB MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL NEWS – (NEWS BRIEF120117) – SHOTS FIRED PURSUIT COLLISION

ODESSA, TEXAS/ECTOR COUNTY/DECEMBER 1, 2017 – ON THURSDAY MORNING, NOVEMBER 30, 2017 AT APPROXIMATELY 9:30AM, A DRIVE BY SHOOTING OCCURRED AT ANOTHER RESIDENCE DOWN THE STREET FROM WHERE A ECTOR COUNTY DEPUTY WAS ON A CIVIL CALL IN THE 2500 BLOCK OF BONITA FAYE AVE.

THOUGH, NO ONE WAS STRUCK BY THE SHOTS FIRED, THE DEPUTY BEGAN A PURSUIT TO A MAROON COLORED 4 DOOR PICK UP TRUCK THAT WAS INVOLVED.

DURING THE PURUIT, THE OFFICER’S VEHICLE COLLIDED WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE AT THE INTERSECTION OF 26TH AND REDONDO. THE DEPUTY AND THE DRIVER OF THE OTHER VEHICLE WERE TAKEN TO MEDICAL CENTER HOSPITAL WITH NON-LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES.

“WE GOT A REPORT THAT HE MAY BE IN THE 1400 BLOCK OF COPUS AVENUE. SO, WE SET UP A PERIMETER OVER THERE ALONG WITH SOME OTHER AGENCIES, WE MADE A BREACH, AND HE WAS NOT AT THE RESIDENCE. SO, AT THIS TIME WE’RE STILL LOOKING FOR THE INDIVIDUAL.”
