ODESSA, TEXAS/FRIDAY, DECEMBER 22, 2017 – TODAY THE ECTOR COUNTY INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT POLICE RAISED FUNDS TO HELP BRING CHRISTMAS JOY TO SOME VERY SPECIAL FAMILIES.

MANY MEMBERS OF THE ODESSA COMMUNITY CAME TO THE ECISD POLICE HEADQUARTERS TO VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME TO HELP DELIVER CHRISTMAS PRESENTS TO THE CHILDREN OF THESE CHOSEN FAMILIES.

“WE HAD ACTUALLY SOME OF OUR STUDENT CRIME STOPPERS, AH, STUDENTS THAT WANTED TO COME HELP, AND HELP DELIVER TO THE FAMILIES AND ACTUALLY HELPED US ALSO WITH SHOPPING AND THINGS LIKE THAT.”

THE FUNDS RAISED ALLOWED FOR FIVE SHOPPING TEAMS TO GO OUT AND PURCHASE CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR BOYS AND GIRLS.

“WE GOT A WANTS AND NEEDS LIST FROM THE FAMILIES. WE ASKED THEM TO RETURN THAT BY MONDAY, WHICH THEY DID.”

OFFICERS WITH THE ECISD POLICE DEPARTMENT VISITED A FAMILY IN SOUTH ODESSA, WHO WERE VERY SURPISED AND OVER JOYED UPON RECIEVING CHRISTMAS PRESENTS.
