DRB MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL NEWS-RACING ON A HIGHWAY CAUSING SERIOUS BODILY INJURY

ODESSA, TEXAS/AUGUST 14, 2017 – AN ODESSA MAN IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION AND ANOTHER IS IN CUSTODY AFTER RACING AND EVADING ODESSA POLICE SUNDAY MORNING IN SOUTH ODESSA.

ON AUGUST 13, 2017 AT APPROXIMATELY 5:45AM, ODESSA POLICE OBSERVED TWO MOTORCYCLES RACING WESTBOUND IN THE 1400 BLOCK OF EAST MURPHY. OFFICES ATTEMPTED TO CONDUCT A TRAFFIC STOP.  BOTH MOTORCYCLES REFUSED TO STOP, DISREGARD EMERGENCY LIGHTS AND SIRENS.

A 2012 YAMAHA MOTORCYCLE, BEING OPERATED BY PABLO QUINONEZ, 23 YEARS OF AGE, LOST CONTROL AND VEERED OFF THE ROADWAY BEFORE CRASHING NEAR MURPHY AND DIXIE. QUINONEZ WAS TRANSPORTED TO MEDICAL CENTER HOSPITAL WITH LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES.

A 2006 SUZUKI MOTORCYCLE OPERATED BY BRIAN TORRESDEY FLORES WAS NEAR THE CRASH SCENE.

BRIAN FLORES HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH RACING ON A HIGHWAY CAUSING SERIOUS BODILY INJURY “2ND DEGREE FELONY” AND EVADING ARREST WITH A MOTOR VEHICLE CAUSING SERIOUS BODILY INJURY 3RD   DEGREE FELONY, AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE ECTOR COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER.
