MIDLAND, TEXAS/MARCH 4, 2021-IN 1951 MIDLAND HIGH SCHOOL AQUIRED A BEAUTIFUL STEINWAY GRAND PIANO, AN INSTRUMENT THAT HAS BEEN USED IN THE SCHOOL’S THREATRE AND CHOIR DEPARTMENTS FOR 70 YEARS. THE MIDLAND EDUCATION FOUNDATION SAW THE NEED FOR THE PIANO TO BE RENOVATED AND OVERHAULED, AND THROUGH A GRANT FROM THE FMH FOUNDATIONS,  A DONATION OF FUNDS WERE PROVIDED TO SEND THE STEINWAY GRAND PIANO OFF FOR REPAIRS.

OVER THE 70 YEAR HISTORY OF THE STEINWAY GRAND PIANO THE TONE HAS SLOWLY BECOME DULL. THE PADDING ON THE HAMMERS BECOME WORN AND THE MULTIPLE STRINGS ON THE HARP LOSE IT’S BRIGHTNESS.
