DRB MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL NEWS(062218)-MCSO MURDER INVESTIGATION AT 2806 WCR 115 MIDLAND CO

MIDLAND COUNTY/MIDLAND, TEXAS/JUNE 22, 2018 – ON THURSDAY, JUNE 21, 2018, SHORTLY AFTER 1PM THE MIDLAND COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM A RELATIVE OF AN INDIVIDUAL THAT HAD BEEN REPORTEDLY KILLED. THE CALLER STATED THAT THEY HAD RECEIVED INFORMATION THAT A BODY WAS INSIDE OF A HOUSE LOCATED AT 2806 WCR 115 AND THAT HE HAD BEEN SHOT.
DEPUTIES WERE DISPATCHED TO THE RESIDENCE AND FOUND THE HOUSE LOCKED AND WERE UNABLE TO SEE ANYTHIN INSIDE. INVESTIGATORS ARRIVED ON THE SCENE AND DETERMINED THAT THEY NEEDED A SEARCH WARRANT TO ENTER THE RESIDENCE. A SEARCH WARRANT WAS REQUESTED AND ISSUED. DEPUTIES ENTERED THE RESIDENCE WHERE THEY FOUND THE BODY OF A YOUNG WHITE MALE WHO WAS IDENTIFIED AS JORDON BAKER, 26-YEARS-OF-AGE. BAKER APPEARED TO HAVE BEEN SHOT AND DIED AT THE SCENE. SEVERAL PEOPLE WERE AT THE RESIDENCE DURING THE MURDER AND STATEMENT WERE OPTAINED.  A 16-YEAR-OLD WHITE MALE CONFESSED TO THE MURDER AND SHOWED THE DEPUTIES WHERE THE MJURDER WEAPON WAS.
TERRY LUCK, PRECINT 1 JUSTICE OF THE PEACE PRONOUNCED BAKER DECEASE AND ORDERED AN AUTOPSY AT THE TARRANT COUNTY MEDICAL EXAMINER OFFICE IN FORT WORTH.
THE JUVENILE MALE HAS BEEN PLACED IN THE CULVER JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER AND WILL AWAIT JUDICIAL PROCEEDINGS. THE INVESTIGAION IS ONGOING AND FURTHER ARREST ARE ANTICIPATED.
