A HUSBAND AND WIFE DIE AS A RESULT OF H2S GAS POISONING LATE SATURDAY NIGHT. JACOB D. DEAN A WHITE MALE, 44 YEARS OF AGE RESPONDED TO A CALL FROM AGHORN ENERGY TO CHECK A PUMP HOUSE LOCATED AT 2216 W. 49TH STREET IN NORTHWEST ECTOR COUNTY. THE INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT JACOB DEAN’S WIFE IDENTIFIED AS NATALEE DEAN A WHITE FEMALE, 37 YEARS OF AGE WAS AWARE OF THE LOCATION OF THE PUMP HOUSE HER HUSBAND WAS WAS WORKING ON AND DECIDED TO DRIVE OUT TO THE LOCATION TO CHECK ON HIM. NATALEE DEAN TOOK HER TWO CHILDREN AGES 6 AND 9 YEARS OF AGE IN THE CAR WITH HER. SHE ARRIVED AT THE LOCATION AND EXITED THE VEHICLE AND LEFT THE TWO CHILDREN IN THE CAR AND WALKED UP TO THE PUMP HOUSE AND WAS OVERCOME BY THE H2S GAS. AN AGHORN ENERGY SUPERVISOR DID NOT HEAR A STATUS REPORT FROM JACOB DEAN THE SUPERVISOR THEN CALLED LAW ENFORCEMENT TO HAVE OFFICERS CHECK THE LOCATION. UPON ARRIVAL BY EMS AND SHERIFF’S OFFICERS, H2S GAS WAS PRESENT. DUE TO THE CHILDREN STAYING IN THE CAR AND AT A DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE PUMP HOUSE, BOTH CHILDREN HAD A SLIGHT EXPOSURE TO THE H2S GAS. THEY WERE REMOVED FRO THE VEHICLE BY EMS AND WERE DECONTAMINATED AND TRANSPORTED TO MCH FOR FURTHER TREATMENT. THE CHILDREN WERE TURNED OVER TO THE GRANDPARENTS. THE INVESTIGATION CONTINUES.
