ODESSA, TEXAS/FEBRUARY 27, 2020-RESIDENTS IN THE NEIGBORHOOD OF PERMIAN AND 42ND WERE ALARMED BY A FIRE THAT BROKE OUT AT APPROXIMATELY 3:45PM JUST WEST OF PERMIAN HIGH SCHOOL. ODESSA FIRE RESCUE RESPONDED TO THE 1600 BLOCK OF EAST 42ND STREET. OPD SHUT DOWN ALL EASTBOUND TRAFFIC WHILE FIREFIGHTER WORKED TO PUT OUT THE STRUCTURE FIRE. THE FIRE BEGAN IN A STORAGE UNIT AND MOVED INTO THE INTERIOR OF THE UNOCCUPIED HOME. THE STORAGE UNIT WAS A COMPLETE LOSS. ONE FIRE FIGHTER WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL WITH MINOR INJURES. THE STRUCTURE FIRE INVESTIGATION IS ON GOING.
